The Viral Wanderer is our new drop bar do-it-all adventure bike. Since Pinion announced their partnership with TRP on the drop bar brake lever/shifter combo built specifically for the new SmartShift electronic gearbox, we knew we had to be the first to market with a product that would exceed all expectations. Enter the Wanderer: Built around a 100mm travel mountain bike fork (or our own boost spacing carbon fork), the Wanderer is a ready to go adventure adventure bike. More than enough mounting points means you can carry any and all of your needed gear and tire clearance that can accommodate up to a 29” x 2.4” tire, so a true mountain bike wheelset, with a true mountain bike fork, but built for drop bar riding. The one caveat: there are no limits.

Since launching the Derive several years ago, the number one question we keep getting is: when are you going to make a drop bar version? We had no intention of entering that market until there was a proper solution to shifting. Now, with the advent of Pinion’s electronic shifting gearbox, the SmartShift, suddenly shifting became a matter of pushing a button, and TRP stepped up to the plate with their new compatible shifter/brake lever called the Hywire. It’s a seamless integration and perfect pairing for drop bar levers and the Pinion gearbox. The Wanderer can and will take you on any adventure. There’s no hill it can’t climb, or trail it can’t conquer, or valley it can’t drop in on. There’s no adventure too big or too small. Sunday morning coffee? Why not take the Wanderer. Six month bikepacking journey around the African continent? Yes, and then tack on a crossing into southern Spain and do another six months in Europe. But why stop there? The adventures are endless, and so is the Wanderer.
